Notes:

-Clement was one of the earliest settlers in New England, immigrating in 1621 on the "Fortune", the year after the Mayflower arrived. In England he had served as an apprentice to be a Fellmonger in Southwark, England. In 1623 he was granted one acre of land, and later he received other allotments. His wife Joan died by 1640. In 1638 she was brought to court for keeping the company of Arthur Warren and found guilty. She was enjoined "not to come into the company of Arthur Warren". After Joan's death, Clement married again to Elizabeth, who survived him.
