Notes:
- Immigrated before 1640 and settled in Salem, Massachusetts.
- Admitted to church in Salem September 27, 1640.
- Removed to Wenham, Mass, and later to Chelmsford around 1653.
- On May 17, 1658, he signed a petition asking for the privilege of
trading with the Indians.
- On Nov 16, 1660 he accepted the job of cleaning the meeting house
for
a year.
- In 1668 he is a Constable.
- The 1672 tax list shows he had an average size estate for the time,
consiting of 2 polls, 2 horses, 4 cows, 8 sheep, 1 pig, and 8 acres of
land. He was taxed seven shillings and four pence for this property.
- In 1672 he was made a highway surveyor.
- His wife died Aug 21, 1687 in Chelmsford.
