-Shot at age 17 in hte abdomen by a police officer during a railroad conductors Strike in Boston, and was not expected to survive.
-Moved to New Jersey c.1928. Family of William & Marion Moody in NH were unaware of family with Elizabeth in NJ.
-WWI Draft Registration card in 1917 lists 5'11.5" tall, brown hair, brown eyes. Birth and residence in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, MA. He lists his current residence as 52 Cliff Street (the home of his father). His occupation is listed as Metal Lather. Under previous military service, there is some barely legible writing, that looks like "Private....". He lists wife & child, and uses them as a reason for deferral. One unusual thing about his statement is that his birth year is listed as 1894, instead of 1895.
