-His father Thomas was a yeoman, having some modest wealth and property. His mother Millicent was buried in Fordington May 23, 1614, and Thomas was buried there June 25, 1618.
-He served as Churchwarden and Constable in England at times before he immigrated to America. He did not attend university, but could read and write. The maiden name of his wife has not been proven. She is mentioned in the will of one Roger Kete who mentions his "kinswoman Margery Emes the wife of Anthont Eames", and leaves her bequest as well as the children of Anthony Eames. He left Margery 40 shillings in money, his best pewter charger with a plate, and a quarter of his residual estate. Perhaps Roger Kete was a bachelor brother of Margery?
-Emigrated on the "Recovery of England" sailed from Weymouth, England March 31, 1633. In Massachusetts, Anthony served in public offices, a captain in the militia, and a member of the council of war. His wife was buried in Marshfield, Plymouth, Massachusetts December 31, 1662, and Anthony outlived her by many years, living to great old age being buried in Marshfield Oct 6, 1686.
