Notes:
-Was twice married before leaving Scotland, including his marriage to Isabel McDougal. Isabel McDougal died in Scotland, and Archibald came to American before 1767, when he purchased land in Augusta County, Virginia. In 1776, he married for the 3rd time to Susanna Shaddon, and in 1797 he married in Tennessee to Elizabeth Sharp. Traveled with family to Randolph County, Illinois in 1801.
