Notes:
-Frequently attached as the son of Bartholomew Flagg who was baptized
in 1615. Later researchers have discovered a more likely connection to a
Thomas Flagg baptized May 6, 1621 whose father was Allen and Nazereth
(Devoroys) Flagg.
-In the Public Records Offic of London is listed Norfolk residents who
were granted license to leave to the New World, including Thomas Flege age
21. This seems to be inflated however, because he was excused from
military service in 1681, which only applied to citizens 60 and younger.
-Selectman eight times between 1671 and 1685.
-In 1659 he lost an eye to a gunshot wound.
-Watertown Records: "Thomas Flege an old man diceaced feb:6: 1697:8.
-The ancestry of the immigrant Flagg is frequently claimed to
originate with an Alger de Flagg 12th Century England.
