Notes:
- A tailor in Salisbury, Massachusetts. Received land in the first division; bought more land in 1642. He was town selectman 1646-1648.
- Signed his will April 10, 1673; proved April 12, 1675.
- Richard Goodale, Sr, called Edward French his "bro.", and this could indicate that his wife was Ann Goodale. It could also just represent that Richard Goodale was a church brother.
- Salisbury Vital Records have the death of his wife Ann French, widow on March 9, 1683. Inventory of her estate survives.
