She immigrated with her parents and siblings in 1630, first residing in Dorchester. Her father was a Millwright by trade, and appears frequently in the Dorchester records; being the 10th man admitted to the second church of Dorchester in 1636. He held multiple town offices through his life (fenceviewer, lotlayer,etc).
