Notes:
-of Watton-on-Stone, England, he was a glover, a worker with leather. He was sent to New England with a letter from his uncle, who was a good friend of John Winthrop, which helped his endeavors upon his arrival. He immigrated in 1637, and took the Freeman's Oath in Salem in 1658. He served on many town offices. During the King Phillip's War, he provided the troops a saddle, a gun, a sword and belt, two pounds of gunpowder, bullets, a pouch, oats, provisions, and a "snapsaicke", as well as fifty-four pounds of poweder and bullets. He took Oath of Allegiance in 1678 "aged 74"
