-No proof of ancestry in England. In 1643, Thomas Hastings sold to "Robert Harrington, servant" six acres. Perhaps he traveled with Thomas Hastings from Suffolk on the Elizabeth in 1637, and 1643 represented the end of six years of promised service in exchange for passage. Frederick Weis in "Early Generations of the family of Robert Harrington" believes he is the same as Thomas Herrington baptized in Southold in Oct 1616, which is possible, but this Robert's mother and father-in-law immigrated to Long Island some years later which would be unusual.
