>Stephen arrived in Boston around 1637 and is first mentioned "it is agreed that Stephen Kinsley, labourer, shall have a house plott next unto our brother Alexander Winchester his garden plott" in April 1637. He was granted more land in Feb 1638 abd Feb 1640. He was one of the founding members of the church at Braintree Sept 1639, and was made a freeman May 13, 1640. He served in multiple town offices between 1640 and 1651. When he was 55 he was ordained Ruling Elder of Braintree Church. His wife predeceased him, being called "wife of Elder Stephen" in her death record January 10, 1667/68.
Stephen's parents were married at Sutterton Lincolnshire May 21, 1590. His father is probably the John Kinsley whose estate adminstration was granted 1602.
