-Subject of one of the most widespread genealogical frauds. He is
given many different ancestries that are untrue. His parantage is
completely unknown. Often assigned as the grandson of high-ranking
nobility, this George Lawrence was excused by the court from serving as
constable because he was totally illiterate.
-Mentions daughter Mary Flagg in will.
