"Merriam Genealogy" by Pope transcribes the will of his father who called a clothier of Hadlowe, Kent; his will written Sept 8, 1635 and proved Nov 27 1635. "I will to George Mirriam my Sonne five poundes and to his daughter Mary my goddaughter five shillings.
George immigrated to Concord Massachusetts and became freeman June 2 1641.
Easter Term 1638 there is recorded in Kent, England a conveyance "George Mirriam and Susanna his wife" of "Two messuages, two barns, two gardens, two orchards, and six acres of land in Tewdley, c. Kent" to "Ann Towne, widow"
George's will survives and he leaves his land to his five daughters, including "Hannah Axdell of Marlbury".
