-The mill in Heimkirchen was destroyed in the 30 years war. Anton Schmidt, with the help of his neighbors and family, rebuilt a mill in Niederkirchen, and when he died in 1707, his son-in-law Martin Neubrecht took over operation of the mill. In 1712 there was a very large flood which again destroyed the mill, but it was yet again rebuilt with the help of the neighbors.
