-Eighth Generation of his family to live at the house
called "Haus Scheffels" where he was born. The house was built for his
great-great-great-great-great-grandfather Konrad/Kurt Scheffels. The house
was inherited by Christ Georg's older brother Johannes, and continues to
be passed along generation by generation to family members to this day,
over 460 years later.
The original house burnt down in 1811, and a new house was built at that
location the same year.
