Notes:
-He was only a child of five years old when his father died, shortly
after his voyage to the new world. Henry Axtell, unusually, was a main
contributor of the creation of the town of Marlborough, at only nineteen
years of age. He was granted fifteen acres of land there.
- During the King Phillip's War, the Indians attacked and killed Henry
Axtell in the spring of 1676. His son Daniel wrote "My father Henry
Axtell was Slayne by the Indians the 19th day of April, in the year 1676",
but the record of inventory of his estate was done April 1, 1676.'
