-Her Gravestone says: "Here lyes y body of M Elizabeth Pratt, wife to
Elder William Pratt, died August y 20th 1728, in 73 year of her age"
-Her father Richard Baker may have been the one mentioned as a
master's mate' on a 1635 voyage to New England, as described in NEHGR
43:279 'Genealogy of Richard Baker'. He was admitted to the
Dorchester, Massachusetts church Nov 4, 1639, and made a freeman May
18th, 1642. He served in many town offices, and became a member of the
'ancient and honorable artillery company' in 1658. In 1668 he was
elected a ruling elder of the church, but declined the honor.
-Her father Richard Baker's estate was worth over 1315 pounds at hs
death Oct 25, 1689 in Dorchester.
