-In June 1616 he was recorded as "samuel bitfield son of Giles, yeoman, late of Wrington" in an apprenticeship agreement when he went to be an apprentice under John Goode, to learn the trade of cooper. After immigrating, he was made a freeman in 1641, and he was a constable in Boston and died 1660.
