Notes:
-Came about 1660 as a teenager from London. His father is frequently
named as one Col. Thomas Stevens of Devonshire, but this Thomas was born
in 1575, making it seem highly unlikely he is the father without stronger
evidence. Cyprian was a blacksmith, and married the daughter of one of
the most respected citizens of Massachusetts. He was a veteran of the King
Phillip's War, and hs ran a tavern which was burned during the war. He
served various town offices through his life, such as constable and town
clerk.
