Notes:
John was a cardmaker by trade. He married second a woman named Rose, who died in 1610, and thirdly, another woman named Rose who survived him. A cardmaker made cards for coming flax and wool.
-In his will, among his other bequests, he left 20 pence to the pool of Nayland. He asked to be buried in the parish churchyard at Nayland.
