Notes:
-Most of the information on the ancestors of Peter Ayers Cook comes from a post in "The Boston transcript" which describes a genealogist meeting Peter Ayers cook in 1864 and writing down what he was told about his family.
-A Book on the Fifield name mentions that Benjamin and his wife removed to Canada. There are records of a Benjamin Cook and family living in Yamaska Mtn, St. Hyacinthe in Shefford County, Quebec. A biography of John Eaton states his wife as Mary Ayer Cook from New Hampshire, and the census records indicate that their children were born in Canada, although they later removed to Sprinfield, Illinois. The Church of Latter Day Saints file show some the children of Benjamin Cook and Jane Fifield being married in Shefford, Quebec.
