Served 10 weeks in the Continental Army in 175, and 6 months in 1776--and in 1777 and 1778 also. He enlisted in 1781 as a private for 3 years, was promoted to Sergeant, and then became one of Washington's Life Guards (the Seargent on Command), and was honorably discharged in 1783, on Consititution Island, opposite West Point.
-In 1780, he bought land at New Ipswich, and then in 1789 settled on a farm in Albion, ME, where he spent the rest of his life.
-He was granted a pension in 1840.
-Listed in 1840 Rev War Census as living in Albion, Maine, 81 years old
